The Quarterly Project, a local organization dedicated to music education, recently released their Winter compilation that features 25 songs from Philadelphia bands and musicians. Proceeds from the compilation go to Rock to the Future, an organization that works to bring music education to Philadelphia’s youth. Check out the compilation on bandcamp, or stream it below. There’s really something for everyone on it, from hardcore band Girl Brains to the groovy stylings of Mo Lowda & The Humble.
More artists on the comp include Commonwealth Choir, Modern Colour, Like Crazy, No Stranger, and Christopher Davis-Shannon, all of whom will be performing at The Quarterly’s Art Bazaar, Listening Party, and Concert this Friday 2/28 at First Unitarian Church at 22nd and Chestnut. It’s worth it just for the eclectic lineup, especially since the indie rockers of Commonwealth Choir posted that they’ll be playing a special acoustic set. The Art Bazaar starts at 5 PM, and the show starts at 7.
